50% of young people aged 14-24 have experienced some form of digitally abusive behavior, from incessant contact to spoofing and nonconsensual pornography. Unfortunately, professionals who work with youth are often unaware and unprepared to work with young people experiencing tech abuse. This 1-hour presentation will focus on why and how young people use technology, and how technology may be used as a tool of abuse. This is part 1 of a 3-part webinar series presented by Day One.
In this presentation, participants will:
1. Realize what and how information is shared through technology
2. Learn how to screen for tech abuse and apply the information learned to a reasonable & dynamic safety plan
3. Learn how to engage in tech-positive safety plan
