Safe standing in football stadiums has been a long running debate, with the issue recently being taken to parliament.

And after a lengthy discussion in London, Sports minister Tracey Crouch announced earlier this week that there would be an official review, into the whether or not safe standing was viable in the top flights of English football.

We speak to Councillor Andrew Pope (Ind.), who has been a leading figure in campaigningfor safe standing in Southampton, about what this latest development means for the future of football.
