And business is now starting to realise that by pairing with, and in some cases even funding research by universities it can be to mutual benefit.
And so to highlight this, as well as to spotlight the equipment and services on offer, the University of Portsmouth is opening its doors for a special open event, so that local businesses, start-ups and entrepreneurs can discuss what collaboration opportunities are available, as well as view live demonstrations and workshops to give a taste of how the facilities and expertise can help their business succeed.
