Four years ago, we welcomed Saambili to the world - at the time, she was the first gorilla born at the Dallas Zoo in 20 years. To celebrate her fourth birthday, our Animal Nutrition team created a combination of cold treats to place in the habitat, featuring favorite melons, pineapple, kale, and frozen yogurt. As you can see, Saambili shared the treats with the whole family troop. Mbani seemed most interested in in chasing Saambili around and instigating "fun" as part of Saambili's celebration.
