While the Lake Blanche Trail is arguably the most popular summer time hike out of Utah's Big Cottonwood Canyon, a winter trip can often avoid much of the crowds seen on this trail. A trip up Broads Fork trail can provide a similar chance of both solitude and wildlife sighting. Car prowling has historically been an issue at this trailhead; Take care to secure valuables out of sight or leave them at home.
