My back, neck, and shoulders were killing me after shoveling all this ice and snow! What I needed was a nice heating pad :-) I built one using a RYOBI 18V as a portable power source. I found some small Polymide heating coils on Amazon. Putting two in series provides 140-150F of heat without the need for a thermostat. It only draws 10Watts. It will run 15+ hours on a 9Ah battery.
