CineFix - IGN Movies and TV | Ryan Coogler and The Legacy That Built Black Panther: Wakanda Forever @CineFix | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 1 day ago
With Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, director Ryan Coogler is returning to the MCU bearing the responsibility of dealing with the passing of Chadwick Boseman and the legacy that both he and his character T’Challa have left behind. It’s an incredibly difficult story to tell, but based on the rest of the writer/director’s career, there’s no one quite so suited to do it. With Fruitvale State, Creed and Black Panther, Coogler has explored themes of abandonment, inheritance and legacy in a real life tragedy, a storied franchise’s spinoff reboot and tentpole Marvel comic book franchise. In doing so, he’s also built a filmography of inheriting other people’s stories and shaping them in his unique way.
The video was written by Siddhant Adlakha and edited by Clint Gage with graphics by Casey Redmon.
