The challenge is the multiple passes between the epoxy pours.I'm not entirely happy with the polishing, I think I miss wet sand paper from 800 to 3200 between the dry sandpaper (up to 320) and the polishing compound. That's the reason why I had to use varnish. Super strong CNC inlays reinforced with epoxy Stephan Forseilles 2021-03-06 | In this video I try a new inlay technique where I reinforce inlays with epoxy that sits between the plug and the pocket, but AFTER the inlay has been glued. I got the idea after I had to patch an inlay that had collapsed when I inserted the second color, because the glue gap was a little bit too large (in my Star Trek board video: youtu.be/sW82qnea4VA ).My CNC is an Aureus 3X from Euro Makers, an aluminium hobby CNC similar to an X-Carve or a Shapeoko.
