Dark License to Kill (DLTK) is the made-up fifth difficulty in GoldenEye. In DLTK, you maximize the enemy statistics in 007 mode:
Enemy health: 1000%
Enemy damage: 1000%
Enemy accuracy: 100%
Enemy reaction speed: 100%
With these settings, enemies take about 10 headshots to kill, they usually kill you in one hit, they rarely miss, and they react quickly.
As an added challenge, I came up with the idea of beating a level on DLTK with no kills, which I call DLTK Merciful (I chose "merciful" rather than "pacifist" since you're allowed to shoot people, which doesn't seem very pacifist =P). Perhaps it should be called DLNTK: Dark License Not To Kill.
I think this is the first completion of Runway DLTK under these constraints. It ended up being fairly easy since there aren't many guards and there are lots of options to lure them out of the way. Once I had a strategy, I finished on the first try. Thanks to Deep Darkness for his DLTK tankless run and Tolos for his LTK Slappers Only run; I used a few ideas from both.
By my count, three DLTK levels have now been beaten with no kills: Runway, Surface 2, and Statue. Most levels seem impossible, but I might try Archives and Depot.
