Alsace, France. Most people come for the wine and the food. But we came to run the 50-kilometer Trail des Celtes ultramarathon.

This is my first after getting pneumonia at the Mustang Trail Race in Nepal –– and Melanie’s first ultramarathon period. Somehow, I convinced her this would be fun and a good use of her free time.
