Everyone’s talking about Greenland. Trump wants it. Denmark wants to keep it. And scientists are busying studying to try and better understand just how screwed we really are.

But I wanted to see Greenland beyond what dominates the news cycle. Over the course of a week, I traveled around the country to experience the food, the landscapes, and most importantly, to meet the people who actually live here.
Here’s what I found.
