RuneScape’s rebuilt Player-Owned House offers a Portal Nexus, jewellery box, Spirit Tree, Fairy Ring, potion storage, combat facilities, and more. But RS3 players already have lodestones, teleport tablets, achievement items, Passage of the Abyss, War’s Retreat, and other systems that often perform the same functions with fewer steps.

In this standalone segment from RSBANDBUpdate! 1098, Shane, Xurdones, and Earth examine whether the new POH provides meaningful utility or primarily recreates features that RuneScape players have already solved elsewhere.

We discuss:

- Why teleportation is no longer a major problem in modern RuneScape
- Whether the Portal Nexus has a place in mid-level or endgame play
- Why several useful facilities remain less convenient inside the house
- Whether parity with Old School RuneScape was the real design objective
- Why the building and customization system can still succeed even when the utility falls short

The central problem is not that the house lacks useful features. It is that many of those features lack the supporting functions needed to make the POH the most convenient place to use them.

Would you make the new POH part of your regular RuneScape routine, or are your existing teleports and hubs still more efficient?

This discussion was originally recorded for RSBANDBUpdate! 1098, covering the launch of 120 Construction and the Player-Owned Housing rework.
