testing rpg maker vx, vx ace, xp, and mv on the playstation classic
Forever Home is really good, nice OST too. im really like Amber Throne. for the MV/MZ games, i used this nw.js build for raspberry pi along with Xwayland. performance isnt all that great, especially Heroes of Spyria. but i think it might perform better if i build for the PSC. i might give it a try later

For Project Eris place the zelda-soh_8.0.2_SONYPSC-cfb0146.mod file in the /media/project_eris/mods folder and itll auto install next time you boot up.
For Autobleem extract the 7z archive and place the zelda_soh folder in /media/Apps
๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฒ: /media/ is your usb drive.
if you launch the App without a rom itll say Place ROM in this folder. You will need the PAL version of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. You can verify if your rom is valid here: https://ship.equipment/
You will need to place the rom inside the App folder. For Project Eris its located in /media/project_eris/etc/project_eris/SUP/launcher/zelda_soh
For Autobleem its located at /media/Apps/zelda_soh
The filename of the rom can be any name as long as it has a .n64 or .z64 extension. Now when you launch the App itll begin to extract the assets into a .otr file. Once thats done, itll play the next time you launch. You can delete the rom afterward if you like. You can also rename the zelda_soh folder to any name you like.

Create a folder named RB_PATCH on the root of your Autobleem USB, place the zelda-soh_8.0.2_SONYPSC-cfb0146.mod file in there. Itll install when you launch Retroarch. Now place your zelda rom in /media/retroarch/apps/compat/zelda_soh

Eject = Toggle Menu
Reset = Exit Game
Enabling Menubar Controller Navigation will allow you navigate the menu with the controller. Its a bit tricky at first, but holding onto the square button will open the multitask menu, you can use the shoulder buttons to alternate tabs that are open. place it on the Main Game window, and now when you press square itll highlight the menu options. You can press Select to toggle the menu.
At default I set the resolution to 1280x720 with a framerate of 24fps. You can play around with the resolution and framerate options. Some areas of the game can push out more fps Hiding the Toggle Menu can give a slight speed boost.
In the original N64 game the resolution is 240p and the game runs at 20fps. however during the File Select Menu it runs at 60fps and the Pause Menu run at 30fps. This works okay with lower resolutions, however I notice with the PSC port theres slowdown when the resolution is higher. So what i did was I changed the File Select Menu and Pause menu fps so that it runs at whatever setting the user set it to. So if you set it to 24 fps itll run those sections at 24fps too.
If you prefer to have it like the original you can replace this soh.elf with the previous one:

I dont recommend enabling the Advanced Resolution setting. Although it would make sense that changing the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 would improve performance, it actually decreases it as enabling it takes a bit of processing power. So its better to leave it at 1280x720 or manually resizing it to a square box. Hopefully this will be improved in the future.
The File Select Menu now runs at 60fps just like the original. However the Pause Menu doesnt run consistent at 30fps so I changed it to run at the fps you set it to. At default I set the frame rate to 24fps. Feel free to change it. The original n64 frame rate is 20fps
You can monitor the FPS by going to Developer Tools โ Stats
Fixed the slingshot bug and overall performance has been improved. Oh I forgot to mention, if you have the previous zelda_soh installed, I suggest backing it up before updating. You can copy the Saves folder to the new one.
