I've been working on my unique version of botanical imprints using very diluted acrylic paint, shrink wrap and cotton fabric - and I'm really excited by the possibilities! This time I layered the cotton fabric directly on top of the leaf, and it created the most AMAZING texture on and around the imprint. So much depth and grungy goodness. It's minimal, it's modern, it's abstract. And I LOVE IT!
I mix my paints approximately 10 parts water to 1 part paint and use a spray bottle to apply it to the canvas and the fabric. I've learned that the spray nozzles need to be cleaned between every use, as they can clog and stop working as it did when I was applying the cyan blue color. Lesson learned!

Liquitex Basics Deep Gold
Amsterdam Cyan Blue
Creative Inspirations Payne's Grey
The fabric I used is 100% cotton.
