While aboard the Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas, we tried out the North Star observation capsule. This offers you the ability to view the surroundings from over 300 feet above sea level. From this vantage point while cruising Alaska, we saw a fellow Royal Caribbean ship sail past, the Brilliance of the Seas. The Brilliance of the Seas is a beautiful Radiance Class ship built in 2001 for $350 million. It has a passenger capacity of 2,543
