We haven't found Gerald yet, but we're wrapping up Dolphin Awareness Month with a deeper look at the two species of dolphins found at Clearwater Marine Aquarium! 🐬
CMA provides care for rough-toothed dolphins, which are an offshore species, and bottlenose dolphins, which are often commonly found near the coast. Bottlenose dolphins also have a distinct offshore ecotype that is found in deeper waters, and both rough-toothed dolphins and bottlenose dolphins are known to socialize and interact in the wild.
