Rossano Brazzi was trying in vain to persuade Richard Rodgers to let him do his own singing in South Pacific when he released two English speaking singles in the mid and late 50s.The first release "Summertime In Venice/Believe Me",which is already on YouTube,shows he could at least have handled part of the singing,but the next single,of which I've uploaded both sides,including one here,seems to indicate Richard Rodgers was right to let opera singer Georgio Tozzi do the singing in South Pacific.
Rossano did do his own singing in a Christmas movie years later called "The Christmas That Almost Wasn't" and did it competently.The soundtrack to that movie is also on YouTube,but Rossano probably couldn't have handled all the singing in South Pacific.
Rossano did release a few more singles in Italy from the late 50s to early 70s,but they are in Italian and hard to come by.
I've also uploaded the flip side "Song For Sweethearts".
