So I wanted to try some fairly interesting things with this edit. I have wanted to make some nice 3d scenes in some of my edits for a while now. Being a game design major with my focus in modelling and 3d animation, i've known how to do some 3d work for quite a while but it is a lot different making something for a video, than for a game. Very little of my prior 3d knowledge helped me with the stuff that I did in the first few scenes of this edit with the wine glass. I played around with the program, Maya for about a week, and used bifrost to create the liquid simulation. I took me so many tries before I made one I was happy with, and it really added onto the time it took me to make this edit. I really enjoy working with 3d scenes, through my education it has become a passion of mine, and I am happy to finally start integrating what I can do into my edits. This being my first one, it could use improving, but it's my first real attempt at making this kind of scene. I'm pretty happy with the scene of the roses though :)
Overall, I think this edit is my best. I tried to use more effects than I usually would on a song like this, and I think it worked out very well. If you disagree with me, that's fine, but I think this is my best. The song is kinda strange as well, as I discovered from a few people in the comment section on Red yesterday, but I honestly don't care. The flow of the edit got a bit strange at times, and that is my biggest regret about this edit, but it was a very difficult song to sync to. I've been working on just trying to edit how I want and do what I have fun with, and I did that with this edit. Hope you guys enjoyed as well. If you read this whole essay, you are bae!
Also, I'd like to give a huge thanks to Gmzorz for helping me out with some cinematic related stuff on Black Ops 3, he showed me some pretty cool things on bo3 that allowed me to make some pretty cool cinematics, stuff that I didn't know was possible on bo3. Also huge thanks to Green for keeping the Black Ops 3 external console up to date! Be sure to give them a follow/sub. Links below!
My next few projects are a Dualtage for Shawn and Bakon, and an all Ghosts episode (YES!) for Vez. Looking farther down the road, i'll probably be doing an AW episode for Valor, and another all Ghosts (YES AGAIN!) for JMR!
