David's been building his own memory system for Claude, and a project called MemPalace shaped how he thinks about it. On this week’s Tanzu Catsup he walks through both the setup he’s running and the ideas MemPalace gave him.
A session doing development saves its state every 15 commands - so a day later, you can say “do the same thing you did to the tokens last time,” and the agent looks up how it was done and repeats the pattern.
Then it gets interesting, and this is where the MemPalace influence comes in: rooms and closets. A memory for deployment is different from a memory for building, which is different from a memory for security. Each one is its own room with its own context. And there are portals between them, so multiple agents can broadcast “hey, I’m done with my stuff” and the others can walk over and read what got done. “The left hand and right hand working together with the same central brain.”
