ROOC (Ragnarok Origin Classic) is an upcoming MMORPG that many players didn’t even know existed—yet it might become one of the most talked-about classic mobile MMOs releasing this March.
In this video, I explain what ROOC really is, how it’s different from Ragnarok Origin Global, and why many old-school MMO players are suddenly excited about it.
⚠️ This is not a graphics comparison.
Visually, Ragnarok Origin Global and Korea already look similar.
The real difference is in the GAME SYSTEMS.
Based on official Korean posts and community information, Ragnarok Origin Classic removes several major progression systems that caused power creep and heavy spending pressure in the Global version, including:
🗡️ Statues
🗡️ Verus cogwheels
🗡️ Red sigils
🗡️ S-tier pets
🗡️ Gacha mechanics
With these systems removed, ROOC focuses more on classic MMORPG design, such as:
🛡️ Party and guild coordination
🛡️ Player-driven economy
🛡️ Class roles, positioning, and skill timing
🛡️ Less forced spending and less power creep
I also share my personal experience from the early Korean version of Ragnarok Origin, playing as a tank—learning how to sync with Priests using Safety Wall, timing Provoke, and why teamwork felt more rewarding than relying on cash-shop power.
📅 Release Date
ROOC is expected to release around late March (based on current App Store listings). While this is not officially confirmed yet, this might be one of those MMORPGs that suddenly goes viral out of nowhere.
If you enjoy MMO news, classic MMORPG discussions, and honest takes on pay-to-win systems, consider subscribing.
And as always—play what you enjoy and don’t overspend.
Happy gaming 🎮
