A Florida grand jury found the DeSantis administration misappropriated $10 million owed to taxpayers after a healthcare company overbilled a program that insures poor children, calling it part of a sophisticated scheme to fund political activities. The money moved through five organizations in 25 days and ended up funding ads against Amendment 3, the marijuana legalization measure. The grand jury said it could not charge anyone because nobody would admit whose idea it was. The report has been sealed since January. Attorney General James Uthmeier, named at the center of it, is on the ballot in November, as is former AG Ashley Moody. Ring of Fire's Josh G. explains.
