If you didn’t know, there are Roman ruins in modern day London! The city was originally founded as Londinium around 47-50 AD. It was a vital Roman port and capital of Roman Britain, and much of its ancient infrastructure, like parts of the massive Roman Wall and foundations of buildings, was simply built over or incorporated into later medieval and modern structures, with some remains occasionally unearthed or preserved underground.

📍 There are actually quite a good bit of Roman ruins around London - including Billingsgate, the London Mithraeum, and part of the London Wall, which is what I show here in this video, but only a very small part of the entire structure!
