"I travel your ancient roads,
but I can no longer hear the hooves of your riders.
I wander through your fields,
but the wind sighs only in lament.
What is there for your sons to hold on to,
in the mighty shade of their dead father?
Where shall our roads lead,
now that Rome is no more?
Yet in song you still live."

My newest Roman piece, the poem above is something I made up while composing the song. If anyone is really good at Latin and can translate this I would absolutely LOVE it.^^
The song is made again in a style that tries to mirror the way music may have been made 2000 years ago during actual Roman times, with the only instruments present in the song being frame drum, dual flutes and ancient lyre.

All music composed and arranged by Adrian von Ziegler.
The artwork is from the game Imperator Rome, I own no part of it.
