This song was inspired by the "dancing mania", a mysterious phenomenon of Medieval Europe. Groups of people started dancing erratically, sometimes thousands at a time, and many danced until they collapsed. The title of the song is the German name of this dancing mania. I aimed to compose a song which sounds on the surface like a party tune, but with a vague atmosphere of fear underneath. Basically what one would feel if they realized their bodies would not stop dancing and they lost all control over their limbs.
The song kind of developed a Balkan and Slavic Medieval character, as I've included trills and melodic sequences that touch on harmonic minor.
Edit: I realized the dog is a bit too creepy.^^ I changed the thumbnail, but sadly I can't change the picture inside the video anymore...
