Roland S-1 Unboxing and First Impressions!
The S-1 is a synth that I've been meaning to check out for a while now, so let's dive in! It's a 4 voice polyphonic synth based on the classic SH-101, in the battery powered Aira Compact form factor. It's got effects, a sequencer, custom oscillator drawing, and so much more, all at an affordable price point. I reached out to Roland about sending one out (which they did, thanks!) to try and fit into my live rig, as I was looking for a power synth in a tiny form factor with immediate knob based controls. So far I've been super impressed with how it sounds, and I can't wait to explore it further! Enjoy the video :)
