Weekly Catch-up:
Ray had a weird schedule this week so we recorded the previous episode only the day before this one, which means Brad didn’t have much time to get out and shoot anything. Ray had almost a week visiting Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and shares a bunch of photos and stories from his time there. Specifically his attempt to use Nikon’s auto capture to photograph a wide angle Pika scene. Find out if he was successful! Ray got to photograph Mule Deer, Townsend’s Solitaire, Mountain Chickadee, Pine Grosbeak, Pine Siskin, Steller’s Jay, Pygmy Nuthatch and more. He also got to spend the last morning shooting with Daniel Gomez. The guys wrap up the show sharing their thoughts about the differences between culling and choosing images to share immediately after a shoot when you are excited, vs. giving it a few days or longer and looking back more subjectively when you are less connected to a shoot. At the end Ray shares about his excitement for the release of his new Adobe Photoshop course geared towards wildlife photography in partnership with the Journal of Wildlife Photography.
