Chinese robot makers have been showing off humanoids doing all sorts of activities at a major conference in Beijing.

The World Robot Conference includes humanoid robots dancing, playing instruments and even boxing in the ring.

The event comes amid a surge of investor interest in humanoids, a potential new source of industrial growth for China and an arena of technological competition with the United States.
