Nearly 1,500 people are missing across Nepal and Tibet after catastrophic flash floods, authorities said.

A wall of mud and rock collapsed into a Himalayan river, sending flash floods through towns and valleys.

Two Irish nationals and 12 UK citizens, including a 13-year-old girl, remain missing in the Resuwa region of Nepal, the tour operator leading their excursion said.
