Rob began in radio in the 1970s at regional Queensland stations including 4VL Charleville and 4WK Warwick, before moving to 4BC Brisbane and 4GG on the Gold Coast.
He later moved to television in the mid-1980s, covering sport for ABC TV and Channel Nine in Brisbane until 1989.
He became a household name as host of Family Feud Australia from 1989 to 1995, before moving to Seven in regional Queensland, presenting news bulletins and regional programming for many years until taking extended leave last year.
