This riveting piece of audio is the news countdown sent up the line to regional stations that took the Macquarie network news from 4BH in the 1970s and 80s. At the top of the hour each station would play its own news theme just before the newsreader starts reading. At first there were 14 relay stations which grew to about 20 in later years. The countdown voice is Ken Guy. Not sure who the news reader is.
