A recent walk along a route I know well, just north of Bridgwater in Somerset. Not a million miles from the M5 motorway and (mostly) beside the Severn Estuary. I parked my car at Apex Park in Burnham-on-Sea, walked south for a couple of hours to join the England Coast Path near Dunball and then followed the River Parrett back around to the start.
I guesstimated this walk would be about 10-11 miles long... By the end, I'd walked closer to 16 miles! Without stopping for lunch as it was far too windy and lacking in shelter! This was one of the first sunny days of the year.
