Magellan and Greyhound | River Liffey Kayaking in Dublin | Ireland, Ep. 3 @MagellanandGreyhound | Uploaded August 2020 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
We spent one fine slightly drizzly morning kayaking the River Liffey in Dublin, which runs through the center of this low-lying city. Along the way, we passed under many bridges, including the Ha'penny Bridge and the Samuel Beckett Bridge, and saw places, such as the Custom House and the Black Pool. Overall, kayaking was a great way to experience and see Dublin. We launched at the Jeanie Johnston famine ship and used City Kayaking for our guided tour.
This video is the fourth of a daily video series of our travels to Ireland and Northern Ireland in June of 2018. From walking the lush greenery in the rugged hills and glens, hiking the breathtaking cliffs and coastal mountains, exploring caves and crags and remote off-shore islands, to the castles and ruins and hallmarks of pre-neolithic civilizations, we can honestly say it was one of the best times we have ever had. And do you know what was the most beautiful about the Emerald Isle? The people. In the cities or the countryside, to the north and the south, in pubs, tea rooms or during a walk. Some of the most warm, kind, affable (and usually very funny) people you will ever meet are in Ireland, and they'll be sure to fill you in on where all the good craic is.
If interested in our trip, please keep checking out this playlist as the series is released.
