Death Valley National Park is the hottest place on Earth, the driest and lowest place in North America and the largest of the parks in the lower 48 states. It's bigger than Rhode Island and Delaware! Come with us and check out the salt flats, volcano craters, mountains, canyons, sand dunes, badlands, Star Wars shooting locations, valleys and endangered wildlife in this land of extremes that straddles California and Nevada. Be brave and explore during the summer, or check it out in the winter when the temperatures are more favorable. Death Valley is a dark sky park and is well worth a visit. For those wondering, Scottys Castle was closed for repairs, Dantes View was closed due to flooding and we did not have the proper all-clearance to reach the Racetrack Playa.
