For one reason or another, i was struck with a sudden feeling of motivation to create a new cover, so i went with this song from CVIII. I know a lot of people tend to prefer the NES's 2A03 version over the Famicom VRC6 version, so i attempted to bridge the gap a bit. Obviously that meant i had to keep the famous arpeggiated lead from the 2A03 version's climax. The VRC6 verison fares fine without it, but the arps just give that extra punch that 2A03-only soundtracks need.

So i dont like Mega Man 4. The level design is ok, but the robot masters are annoying and the weapons are mediocre. But at least the soundtrack is pretty good, save for the pretty bad sound design. Regardless, clearly it didnt stop me from covering one of its songs, in this case a HIGHLY underrated Wily Stage theme. This and Mega Man 6s Wily Stage themes need more love.

Look, all memes aside, this is an amazing song. Regardless of how overrated it is to some, i still love it, and i wanted to update my cover of it. Yet for whatever reason, it took me a month to do it. Why? I dunno, lack of motivation? Schoolwork? Hard to say, but whatever, i finished it and im proud of it.

So this wasnt something i planned on doing, but my friend Lexi asked if i could cover this song for her, so i did. I wasnt sure this was going to be very interesting to cover, but i actually had a lot of fun experimenting with a crap-ton of Gxx effects to mimic the swing rythm of the original. I also added bongos at the last second since i figured itd be worthwhile, and they actually dont sound too bad! Fancy that.
Eventually, Lexill be uploading her own piano cover of this same song, and when she does, ill throw a link here and put a card in the end screen for the same purpose.
