I found this Rick Wakeman bootleg from 1975 in my collection, so I thought I would rip it and share it. This was the first big production concert that I saw and it paved the way for other musicians to travel with a large entourage ... Rick's included a full choir, an orchestra and life-size dinosaur props.
In May 1974, Rick Wakeman left Yes at the height of the band's commercial success to embark on a solo career. He had already gained success with his first album The Six Wives of Henry VIII. For the next two concept albums, he relied on orchestration and a choir, as well has a fronting rock band. This concert was captured in November 1975 and includes tracks from both Journey to the Centre of the Earth and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
The band consists of Rick on Keyboards, John Dunsterville on Guitar, Roger Newell on Bass, Tony Fernandex on Drums, Martin Shields on Trumpet, Reg Brooks on Trombone and Ashley Holt on Vocals.
