Rice noodle ramen…Why rice noodles instead of ramen noodles? At Harvest Community Foods located in Vancouver’s Chinatown, their ramen noodles have eggs, so make sure you veganize yours by asking for rice or udon noodles! They have several other clearly marked vegan options on their regular menu and there are also rotating specials that also include vegan options. There’s seating indoors, but note that the space is small, so there may be times where you’ll have to wait or do take-out. Harvest Community Foods also sells fresh vegetables, frozen goods, and non-perishables - think sauces, snacks, condiments, and other pantry goods. The staff are helpful and it’s definitely a popular place because when we visited for lunch, there were many others dining in and the noodle slurping game was strong! We tried the ramen with squash and miso broth and the udon with turmeric coconut curry. Which would we recommend?
