Rumba clave time once more!
This is the 4th video of the serie "fun ideas to play over any ostinato".
In this video, the idea is to play one rhythmic phrase and to repeat it with one 16th note silence in between the phrases. You can play it over one same element or orchestrate the phrases over different elements like I did here with the toms.This way, we explore every possible placement of the phrase on our ostinato!
You can apply this same principle with every rythmic phrase on any ostinato you want to work on! I choose the rumba clave 2-3 as the ostinato (since I quite enjoy working on it these days haha).
