After Rheinmetall Aviation Services GmbH (RAS), a subsidiary of Rheinmetall, had already completed its first main phase inspections and requirements maintenance for the CH-53G medium transport helicopter at the Diepholz site in March 2022, RAS has started flight service and partial phase inspections at two further German Airforce sites, Laupheim and Holzdorf-Schönewalde.

The RAS team at these sites contribute with its maintenance expertise an important part for the availability of the CH-53G. Pre-flight and post-flight inspections ensure safe daily flight operations.

Partial phase inspections are to be carried out every 50 flying hours. These include inspections of the air frame, engines,gear boxes, wheels or rotor blades and do their part to ensure trouble-free and safe participation in flight operations.
