It's Revolutionary War Weekend at George Washington's Mount Vernon and the Bobblehead George crew is immersed in all of the action! Join us as we visit with the 7th Virginia Regiment to learn how to load and fire a three pound bronze cannon!
Next, the 1st Virginia Regiment will give us an up close look at meal preparation for members of the Continental Army.
We will also, spend time with our friend and British surgeon, Dr. Grimes who will explain how and why 18th century doctors would use techniques such as bleeding and salt water enemas.
And finally, we will meet with two ladies who follow the 1st Maryland Regiment. They will take us behind the scenes and explain the roles that women played in the Continental Army.
