This was my Round 3 entry for the Quickening. It was by far the hardest round so far, but I also feel the round that pushed me out of my box the most. Besides the anime, I also tried a lot more in the respects of story telling. The basic story is that Tsukiko, in her efforts to rewrite society unleashes a boy with a baseball bat, attacking people he deems necessary. When Tsukiko tries to delete him she creates a monster that turns on her. I think the rest of the story is pretty obvious =w= This is one of those "be careful what you wish for" scenarios. Anywho I hope you like it!

On July 20, 2017 the world lost a very talented human being. To celebrate his memory I felt it would be good to bring some of my editing friends from TM Studios together who also wanted to dedicate a small MEP to him. This project was made quickly, but with love from all of us who will miss the good memories Chesters music brought us. Rest in peace, Chester. You will be missed.

Marie: I suppose I should write something on how Linkin Park influenced me over the years. I first heard “papercut” when I was in 8th grade. I remember having the CD and listening to it on the bus ride home on my Sony Walkman. I remember some younger girl on the activity bus asking for my headphones so that she could hear it too…and I remember her jamming out to the song in her seat. When I was a little older, I remember watching Fuse in the mornings before school…I loved watching the morning rock music videos (Fuse was soooo much better than MTV)…and faint would come on A LOT.When I graduated high school, I watched the music video for breaking the habit for the first time (OH HEY LOOK THAT’S ANIME xDD). So, I guess you could say I’m part of the generation that grew up with the band’s music. I feel like LP music specifically touched a lot of the generation of outcast kids from even my days in high school - just look at how many AMVs from pre-2010 that were made with their music - they were phenomenal and Chester will be missed. Depression and anxiety can exist in anyone no matter what walk of life they are from. For Chester, he had a very long and complex battle with it…which ultimately ended in his suicide. I didn’t cry over his death, but I felt an overwhelming about of sympathy for the family he left behind. I believe that his suicide once again shows that highly functional people who appear “normal” may be privately battling severe blues. Which is why I implore anyone fighting the good fight themselves to seek help. Depression affects approximately 121 million people worldwide, and it is a very real thing. I don’t know what direction the band will take now with their lead singer dead…whether linkin park will try to move on without him or if they will fade into oblivion…but I do know that their music resonates with many on a very personal level, and I am thankful for what Chester was able to pour his emotions into, create and leave behind for the rest of us to enjoy and remember.")

As many of you may know- I have recently fallen into the VTuber rabbit hole. So much so that I have become one myself nuts, right? Anyway- while falling deeper and deeper I came across the artist Mori Calliope. I loved her music immediately. I listened to what little she had on her channel and eagerly awaited more from her. Then she released Cursed Night. I literally cried listening to it. I cried reading her message telling everyone that she was okay. Because that is so damn potent. Mental health, regardless of how well you are doing, will sometimes make you feel at your worst. I have been feeling that a lot lately. I have amazing friends, a beautiful wife, and so many new and wonderful things happening in my life and yet some moments I cant feel good at all. I just feel like I wont make it through the night. It always gets better. It always will but sometimes things are just TOO MUCH. After listening to the song on repeat for days I decided to edit to it myself hoping to get across that feeling. I wanted to share this with all my friends currently fighting their own battles. I love you. We will get through this. We WILL make it through the night.

I want to take a moment to talk about a friend I lost today. Many of the friends I knew in high school and a few friends I have gained along the way in the last couple years have either heard me talk fondly of Pepper or had the joy of meeting him in person. Pepper was an aloof cat. He rarely was ever vocal, but he did love a good pat while sitting on the living room sofa. He was not the biggest fan of being picked up, but that did not mean he was not lovable. On the contrary... Pepper got me through some of my worst times in my younger years. As many of you know, I spent a good deal of my time in high school very sick. Every other month it seemed like I was down with something else. And every single time I was feeling that way, or hell just feeling sad in general he would jump into bed with me and sit next to me and make me not feel so alone. He did the same for a good deal of mental illness that I didnt even know I had at the time. He was a good boy. Sure, he had his moments like any other pet where he would get temperamental, but overall I cannot say the last 12 years he was on this earth were not wonderful to spend with him. My only regret is not playing with him a little more when I went home. I still got to pet him and he would jump in bed with me when I stayed up too late (like I always do) but I just wish I had done a little more for the little guy.... Or BIG guy I suppose. I miss him to pieces already. He will always hold a special place in my heart. The only thing I can hope for is that his last moments with us were fond ones for him and that wherever he is now he is not suffering and is sleeping curled up somewhere in a sofa in the sky. He was always lazy after all...haha... Rest in peace, Peppy! You were one of my best friends and I will never forget you.
