Glenn Beck's Chasing Embers is the sort of dystopia you get when you no more than an hour trying to figure out what that world would look like, and then not realizing you just ripped off one of the most famous books in the genre. I could have spent more time talking about all the stuff that didn't seem to make sense, or was poorly thought out, but I tried to be lenient on what's supposed to be part of a series. That said, there was still so much that left me wondering while reading this. Not in a curious way, but in a way where I really don't think the book has any clue what it's doing.
