This is a hearts and arrows diamond that has superb optical symmetry and contrast patterning. The total cost of the ring is $3,400 ($2400 for diamond and $1000 for setting). It goes to show the superb value you can get for a 3k budget when you shop at online vendors.
Mind you, this diamond is cut to impeccable standards and you would seldom find these type of cut precision at branded jewelry stores like Tiffany or Cartier. A similar ring like these would cost at least twice as much at branded places and that could easily set you back by $6000!
The setting is made of 14k white gold which also provides fantastic value for money if you are on a budget. 14k white gold is an alloyed metal and it has better hardness than platinum. It’s lighter and it’s cheaper. However, the alloy does contain nickel which can cause skin rashes to sensitive skin and the rhodium plating requires routine maintenance to keep the ring looking white and shiny.
