This is a review of the CD Ice and Longboats: Music of Ancient Scandinavia, from BBC Radio 3s Record Review Show. The CD was also very positively reviewed in BBC Music Magazine, and the media interest meant that the album rose to number 17 in the classical music charts. Professor Rupert Till of the University of Huddersfield, aka Professor Chill, commissioned the album as part of the EMAP project, and it was released on Delphian Records.
