“But you never made a round for either”

“And yet…you’re auditioning for another one???”
*sweats*
IIIIII have no excuses at this point. I think the only real one I can come up with is how I’m going to be entering college next year of spring which means half a year with no other obligations so MIGHT AS WELL! Also, I just really liked the premise and came up with a story rather quickly. I know I kept things secret but you know me! I never give away the answers in the audition. So here we go motherfuckers, for the fifth goddamn time.
CHARACTER INFO:
Name: Oktai (no last name)
Age: 24
Birthplace: Riquewihr, France - 1825
Death: Riquewihr, France - 1849
Power: Fire Manipulation
Story Notes:
-If I get in, Oktai and Marva’s relationship will be given more insight. However, one thing I wanna say first and foremost is that the two are not related by blood
-Oktai thought Marva was still inside the house, when she wasn’t. The fire was a trap set up by someone in order for Oktai to die inside. Who is this someone? Let’s hope I get in and you get to find out!
-Oktai is an extremely loyal and protective person, of both himself and others he loves. Due to something that happened in his life he has gained major trust issues and can find himself closing himself off in order to not only protect himself, but the people he cares about.
-Shadowy Phoebus is not Phoebus, he’s just a stand in for this character at the moment.
-So his power. I struggled with it a lot, because I kept coming back to fire. Fire I think is a really interesting element, and most people know that I like using fire as a climax, mostly because I think it makes for a good climactic setting. However it is not a very original ability and I wanted to be able to play up my more chaotic imagination. However, due to the restrictions in having his power be apart of his life and personality, I had to really reconsider everything and just go to what fit him the most. Ultimately, though, I think you guys are gonna like what I end up doing with it (if I get in anyways). Fire, in itself, is not a restrictive element so I might as well take advantage of that lol.
-I kept this audition rather simple for a couple of reasons, in that I wanted to create intrigue on Oktai’s backstory but to also not try to overwhelm both the audience and myself. I realize I often overwhelmed myself in the past with auditions and this time I tried my best to avoid that.
Annndd…that’s all I got XD. Yup not too much depth with this one! I’m definitely playing up the mystery aspect this time around. Anyways, enjoy!

What’s this? TWO mermay MEP parts in a row??? Say it ain’t so.
Well this was very much unplanned. SeleneTheWerewolf has had this pirate & mermaid themed MEP up for a few years now, and seeing as I had some time on my hands I thought I’d help out in getting it done! And boy did I decide to challenge myself.
I’ve been wanting to edit an older couple on here for quite sometime, as I feel the few older characters we do have access to are not used much in the romance setting. I feel there’s a lot of interesting and unique combos you can do for it. And here’s one to start!
I love love LOVE using Hassan so much, he has such a good variety of footage. I wanted to use him in Arcade, originally, but I wasn’t happy with how the part was coming out so I decided to scrape it and use him here instead. Which therefore meant using Athena has the mermaid of choice! And uh lemme tell ya she is no Ariel. She gave me a LOT of trouble in this part. But it was worth it because I do think these two look cute together and I really like the final product a lot! Enjoy!
STORY:
A lonely pirate has a secret: he’s in love with a mermaid, and visits her on an abandoned shoreline. Unfortunately, the secret gets out and he’s ambushed by rival pirates who blackmail him to give away her location. The lovers now find themselves to be prisoners, the pirate being the only one to remain alive. But he won’t let that to happen, and acts accordingly.")
