Captain's Log
Stardate: 7086.8
We have once again been ordered by admiral Bana Stoker to a location previously visited by the USS Enterprise; Beta Niobe. Beta Niobe (Nye-O-bee) was just under a year ago home to the planet Sarpeidon (Sar-PEE-don), now it is likely a diffuse cloud of debris in the Beta Niobe planetary nebula. The inhabitants traveled back into Sarpeidon's past some short time before stardate 5943. The Admiral believes that the atavachron (a-TA-va-kron) device used by the people of Sarpeidon may have been a Tilikaal device, and we are to investigate the remnants of the Beta Niobe. Our orders are to scan the area looking for any signatures that match other presumed or known Tilikaal technology we have encountered before such as on Bacchus IV or Pegasi V. Of course every time we come across Tilikaal technology something out of the ordinary and generally hazardous happens, so I have ordered that the ship will go to yellow alert when we arrive, which is due to happen tomorrow morning. Further, when the Enterprise skirted Beta Niobe on the way to a conference on Babel just a few months ago they encountered a time reversed anti-matter dominated region of space time, so the crew knows that we may go to red alert at any point. Tilikaal related or not, strange things have happened at Beta Niobe, and I suspect they are still happening.

First Officers Log
Stardate 60481.8
The Kongzi is finished with repairs and the crew has been fully debriefed by Starfleet Intelligence, Starfleet Security, and the Federation Department of Temporal Mechanics. Lt. Borl, originally of the U.S.S. Lexington has requested to stay aboard, and I have granted this request, but he is temporarily being transferred to Starfleet Medical Division 14 for observation. As for the rest of us we have been put back on old fashioned exploration and survey duty. It will be nice to get back out there for a bit without Romulans and ancient megastructures threatening all of our lives. Another bright note is that we are bringing aboard a new chief science officer, Lt. Vralax [vray-lax]. His specialty in archeology will hopefully help us next time a Tilikaal structure tries to destroy a star system or fling us into a new dimension or whatever else they have in store for us.
First Officers Log Supplemental
I need to remind Dr Hobnol to increase training on the risks interspecies sexual activity.
On the edge of explored space the Kongzi detects an unusual pair of planets, binary m-class worlds. When the crew goes to investigate they encounter signs of an ancient atrocity. As they investigate what happened on these planets they become at risk of becoming the next victims of and ancient force of destruction. Can they discover what happened, and escape without becoming casualties? Further what will their discovery mean for the Shackleton expanse? Find out next time on the next episode of Star Trek Endurance, Tug of War. Only on the Top Hats Off channel.

Captains Log
Stardate 61228.8
We are once again headed back to Cal-Mira [Cal-me-ra], but this time in the open and with a happier task than before. The Cal-Mirrans [note that there are only 3 syllables Cal-Mir-Ran, its not *Cal-Mirians] have expressed interest in joining the federation, and so the Kongzi is bringing a delegation of diplomats to discuss entry requirements, benefits, obligations, etc.
One potential snag in all this is that the group of Cal-Mirrans called the Sun Seekers are not really unified with the rest of Cal-Mirran society, and so it is not clear if Cal-Mirra meets the requirement of a unified planetary government that is needed to join the Federation. When we were here on stardate 61110 we did seem to improve the relations by helping them unite with us to fend off the invasion by Ashtamalia and her Tilikaal aderi allies. Perhaps that can be a basis for more trust. Given our experience last time, on Stardate 61208 lets also hope there are no more Vin-Shari lurking around waiting to further cement their expansionist claims in the Shackleton Expanse at the expense of other species in the region.
The Sun Seekers are indeed interested in joining with the rest of Call-Mirran society to join the federation, but their religious zeal and fierce independence makes the terms tricky to negotiate. Unbeknownst to the crew and the Cal-Mirrans alike however there is a force working behind the scenes that does not care about the diplomatic mission or have the best interest of the Cal-Mirrans in mind. When an attack is launched against the conference the crew must defend their allies and investigate the cause and perpetrators of this heinous act.
Can the crew facilitate Cal-Mirra joining the federation while finding out who is behind the attack and what their plan is?
