i used the same chords in the entire song but the song didn't feel that repetitive, why you may ask? because i used different patterns in each sections, to me chords are just something that helps you with the key and i don't usually change them unless if it's necessary, sometimes i just used the same chord throughout the entire song and nobody notices, i used also the same drums in the whole song so making music is basically making the song not feel as repetitive as possible despite using same patterns, it's like making a drawing and adding shading to it, if you don't add the shading it will feel unrealistic because there is no light source but when you do it looks more realistic, music is art and just like any art it has different styles.
