In this Retro Tech / Vintage Tech video we're taking a look at a Muldivo Mentor pinwheel calculator, made in the 1950s or 1960s. This calculator is actually a WSR160 made by Walther in Germany - it was sold in the UK by "The Muldivo Calculating Machine Company Ltd" and badged as a Muldivo Mentor.

In this video we demonstrate how to use this calculator (and most other pinwheel calculators are pretty similar). We cover addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, decimal points, cubing using the back transfer mechanism and even struggle to calculate the square root of 2. We also show how the machine works inside.
