May is Older Americans Month. The national observance honors the contributions, wisdom, and achievements of older adults and raises awareness about issues affecting aging. One issue on the minds of many older folks is retirement. Retirement opens the door to new possibilities, allowing people to explore passions, revisit old hobbies, and reflect on a lifetime of work.
Architecture advocate and enthusiast Steven Englehart has lived in the North County most of his life, and he's been retired for four years. He was the executive director of Adirondack Architectural Heritage, or AARCH, for seventeen years, and now, as a retired person, he has time to do other things, including creative work and philanthropic endeavors.
