This was a long time coming. I had last done No Merchant Challenge almost 4-5 years back. Was a lot of fun devising strategies for this run once again.
There are a lot of things, which I would like to explain on how to do certain rooms. And also, there are surely certain areas that i would definitely like to improve such as reducing the backtracking, pickups etc. But this walkthrough was done with the aim of helping new people trying and succeeding in this challenge run. Hence it would be a good watch nonetheless.
However, my ultimate goal is to reduce the No Merchant run to below 3 hours without using any Speedrun strategies or going for too much No Damage routing (however that would be cool too).
Some fun rooms in the above that you should definitely watch:
- Waterhall room
- 4-1 (this is a mess)
- 4-2 (novistador cave -- this was heart wrenching)
- 5-2 (I discarded my HANDGUN!!! and still managed to come out alive).
