My first playthrough of Resident Evil 2 Remake (2019) as well as my first playthrough of a full game on this channel. I want to make it as surprising for myself as I want it to be comprehensible and pleasant to watch for people who might want to use it as a guide of sorts, so in case it's necessary, I might trim some of the parts if I get stuck at a certain point or backtrack to pick some common items. I'll try not to be spammy with the uploads and will limit myself to one, max two videos per day :)
The footage for Leon's walkthrough is recorded on PC in 1440p HD and runs at 60fps. The difficulty is set to Hardcore, which means tougher enemies and manual saving system, with the return of famous ink ribbons.
This part has Leon teaming up with Ada Wong to capture Anette Birkin and retrieve the G-Virus. The chase leads them to the Racoon City sewers, where they encounter some overgrown sewer gators and mutated G-creatures. Their encounter with Anette ends with Leon getting shot and Ada continuing the chase on her own which introduces us to the hacking tool and a game mechanic that's pretty much exclusivd yo her. Ada finds a NEST wristband in an incinerator and confronts Anette, but is forced to a fall into a waste disposal room and gets injured in the process. This leaves finding her to barely recovered Leon, who then goes through the sewers to gather chess plugs, makes a little detour to clear the police station, gather ammo and a Magnum upgrade (and of course Rebecca's photo), and goes back to the sewers to free Ada.

And now for the fight that pretty much makes no big difference whether you do it without sprinting and rolling, or if you use up that stamina bar like there is no tomorrow. His close-ranged attacks can be avoided easily if you stay close to him and the fog can be easily outjogged as long as he doesnt swipe you closer to him due to a combination of your greediness and the games bizarre physics, when he moves his right hand closer to himself. The only major problem might appear if he manages to summon his posse of spooky scary skeletons, but he rarely does that.
Ill probably move on to Old Demon King and try to take him down before possibly getting stuck in the hell of my own making by repeatedly getting my ass handed to me by good ol Sully.")

Shes more of a miniboss here than an actual boss fight and goes down pretty easily. Her attacks consist of consecutive lightning strikes which have indicators appearing on the ground before they hit, singular faster lightning strikes and charge attacks which can be parried. There is a risk of getting hit by one of the lightnings during her defeat animation (you cant move while it lasts), luckily it didnt happen here though.")

Well, this one took a while. I actually managed to kill Pontiff pretty quickly the first time around, but that kill was pretty horrible and full of lucky rng, I was so bummed out about it that I decided to redo this fight once I get a better hang of spacing and gestures. This one took significantly longer but Im also happier with it than with the first one :)
A big shoutout to nothing right for implementing gestures into his no sprinting challenge, which prompted me to try it out as well. It works against that particular attack by Pontiff almost 100% of the time (as long as his trajectory isnt changed, which can happen if he gets too close to the wall) and gives you a free hit at the end of his combo. It takes a bit longer to go on the offensive than when outspacing him, which can make the fight a bit longer, but it also makes it easier to fight without ever locking on to him, which is the main reason I ultimately found this method more appealing. It also turned out it can be used to avoid his shockwave in phase 2 when used quickly enough, which is especially useful if he does this attack simultaneously with his clone (basically unavoidable when you try to simply jog around both).
Heres the fight with the same restrictions performed by 3 different players. Each one approached it in a different way, so I think its worth giving them all a watch :)
